Cheyenne is a modern city with a taste of the wild west.
The tours begin with tales of our unbridled railroad and wild beginnings, departing from the historic Depot Buildings~ a National Landmark, in the heart of downtown Cheyenne. The journey takes you through Cheyenne's historic districts, providing a fascinating glimpse of the areas heritage. See where the gunfights occured and where Wild Bill Hickok was married. The trolley goes to the Wyoming State Capitol. It is said that the Depot and Capitol buildings face each other so they could keep an eye on each other! Today the Governor's seat is occupied by Matt Mead, but Wyoming was the first state to have a woman in that chair. You'll travel past homes that once belonged to cattle barons when Cheyenne was the wealthiest city per capita in the nation. It also takes you by steam engines #1242 Ole Sadie.
